Pakistan is on the top 3rd country on Amazon seller’s list. That means that Pakistan has the most registered sellers on amazon after US and China.
Amazon allowed Pakistan to enter its sellers list in May 2021. And just after one year, in 2022, Pakistan is on the 3rd place in its fastest growing global marketplace with millions of sellers on Amazon. While Pakistani vendors pale in contrast to the two major markets, they count more than the rest of the countries in the world including exporting hubs China and India.
In other words, Pakistan has more vendors than India, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and Canada. It is worth noting that Pakistan is home to the world’s three largest Amazon seller groups
- “eCommerce by Enablers,” which has over 1.2 million members,
- “Extreme Commerce by Sunny Ali,” which has 1.1 million members,
- “Ecommerce Success Pakistan,” which has approximately 200,000 members.
These organizations existed long before Pakistani vendors were legally permitted to sell on Amazon.
These merchants are estimated to contribute to Pakistan’s exports of Rs.23 billion. Cotton textiles and garments are two of Pakistan’s most important industries. It is expected that with this development, young entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses across the country would be able to take use of the platform’s benefits, which will broaden and diversify Pakistan’s export basket. This would not only increase their earnings but will also assist the government in improving the country’s macroeconomic outlook.
